Henry Crawley (b. Poestenkill, New York) is a visual artist working in Brooklyn, NY. His work endeavors to traverse inherited materials—found and constructed, sentimental and otherwise. His practice is centered on placing photography, sculpture, and acts of assembly side by side, in order to make something “for the eyes.” Crawley graduated with a BFA in photography from Pratt Institute in May of 2023.
Outside of Pratt’s Munson and Brooklyn campuses, his work has been shown in Spring Cleaning (Soft Serve Projects, Queens NY), The Curated Fridge (Autumn 23’ Show, MA), Homecoming (RIT City Arts Space, NY),“PiLE” (two-person exhibition at SPRING/BREAK Art Show, New York, NY), MATTE Magazine Issue #62 “Exciting Photography Now”, Float Magazine’s “Imperfect Poetry”, and a feature in VICE’s “The Photo Issue, 30 Years of VICE”.
